CHARACHTERISTICS:
DAKOFAKA is a trap that acts with the “Attract & Kill” technology: it consists of a polyethylene bag externally coated with a special paper, impregnated with an insecticide that works by contact. Once the trap is activated (by making two holes in the points marked with the X), the adult flies are attracted to the surface and, after touching it, they die quickly.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
DAKOFAKA is used for the control of Bactrocera oleae. The traps should be placed within the middle-upper area of the foliage, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight and contact with branches and leaves.
It is recommended to place the trap on the west/south-west side of the plant.
The trap must be activated by making two holes in correspondence of the two X present on the trap. If not perforated in the indicated points or perforated in other areas, the trap will not be effective.

RATES:
Olive groves with medium-sized plants: 150 traps/ha.
Olive groves with large plants or poorly planted: 200 traps/ha.

TIME OF APPLICATION:
DAKOFAKA should be placed about 10 days before lignification (approximately within the first fortnight of June) and, once activated through the holes, it remains effective for up to 150 days.
In case of strong attacks or late harvesting or unfavorable climatic conditions, it is possible to carry out a second application, by integrating with 70 traps/ha.

WARNINGS:

  • The maximum effectiveness is achieved by applying this method in large olive groves.
  • In small olive groves or on single plants, the effectiveness is reduced.
  • Avoid exposure to sunlight: it reduces or cancels the effectiveness of the trap.
  • Rainfall above 200 mm may reduce the effectiveness of the trap.
  • The density of the traps must be greater on the perimeter of the olive grove.

Before using the product, carefully read all the instructions on the packaging label.
