CHARACTERISTICS:
CERATIPACK is a trap that uses “Attract & Kill” technology. It is composed of a plastic capture cone (inside which an attractive lure has to be placed) and of a lid treated with insecticide in the inner side. Insects are attracted into the trap both by the lure and by the yellow color. Once inside the trap, they come into contact with the insecticide and die.
Compared to other methods, the advantage of this trap is a better understanding of the catches curves and of the dynamics of attacks, accordingly; in this way, a prompt action can be taken. The attractant lure, used into the trap, has been specifically designed to provide the highest efficacy against Ceratitis capitata, notwithstanding it works great also against many other species of Ceratitis. Such lure has shown to have a high power of attraction against female fruit flies, by reaching even the 75% of captured females on the whole trapped insects.
Being the insecticide kept into the trap, the use of CERATIPACK doesn’t spread active ingredients in the environment and on foodstuffs, and it is safe to the operators.
The use of CERATIPACK is allowed in Organic Farming.

SCOPE AND MODE OF ACTION:
CERATIPACK is used for the control of Ceratitis capitata on citrus fruit, pome fruit, stone fruit, grape vine and other fruits (kiwifruit, persimmon, figs, prickly pear and others). It is recommended to use 50-80 traps/ha, depending on the intensity of insect pressure. The devices have to be placed when inside the monitoring traps one adult/trap/day is catched (CERATIPACK can also be used for monitoring purpose by placing 3-4 traps/ha) or, 30-40 days before fruit colouring or at least 50 days before harvest.
Traps have to be distributed homogeneously inside the orchard, at the height of approximately 1.5-1.8 meters and preferring the south side of the plant and where fruits are reduced or not present at all.
When the orchard borders with spontaneous vegetation or with abandoned orchards, it is recommended to increase the number of traps on the edges.
The trap keeps its effectiveness for at least 120 days. However, you should consider to apply auxiliary insecticide treatments, depending on pest pressure.

HANDLING AND STORAGE:
Store CERATIPACK in cool and dry places. Under these conditions and when kept in the original closed packaging, it can be stored up to 24 months.

Before using the product carefully read all the instructions reported on the packaging label.
