Trap for the capture of Tuta absoluta, the tomato borer. It can also be used for monitoring, placing 2-4 traps/ha, and for mass trapping using 15-30 or more traps/ha. Maintain a distance of at least 10 meters between traps. Place them from 40 to 100 cm height from the ground.
Fields of application
Monitoring and capture of Tuta absoluta. In the first case, place 2-4 traps/ha, while in the second case, 15-30 traps/ha. The traps must be installed at the end of April or at the time of transplanting, maintaining a distance of at least 10 meters between them and placing them at a height between 40 and 100 cm. The pheromones remain active for 5-6 weeks. Periodically check the trap to verify the water level, which must remain constant, and remove the captured insects.
