Features
Capture system that allows the monitoring or mass trapping of Rhynchophorus ferrugineus, the red palm weevil.
Fields of application
Monitoring and mass trapping of Rhynchophorus ferrugineus. For monitoring, place 2-4 traps/ha, at approximately 50 m from the palm trees or at a distance of no less than 20 m. For mass trapping, or in case of rows, use up to 14 traps/ha, always respecting the distances. The pheromone lasts up to 12-13 weeks. Every 7-15 days check the catches and replace the water and fermenting material if necessary.
