Features
Trap for the monitoring and mass trapping of Drosophila suzukii, the spotted wing fruit fly. It is composed of a bucket container, a perforated device and a hook to hang the trap. It should be baited with approximately 200 ml of the specific Sugarfly attractant, based on apple cider vinegar, red wine, sugar and natural flavors, to be poured into the bucket.
Fields of application
Monitoring and mass trapping of Drosophila suzukii. Monitoring: one trap every 15-20 m on the perimeter. Mass trapping: one trap every 5-10 m on the perimeter. In case of serious infestations, reduce the distance between traps. For fruit trees: one trap every 5-10 trees (monitoring); 1 trap per tree (mass trapping).
